Sorry guys I know is in the search but I couldn't find it
whats the recomended oil pressure for the 225. my rebuild had the white spring in it,, idled at sixty and went up 80-90. from there..old motor had the brown spring that was consistently 40-60
I tried that one and it went 10 to 20..
Yellow spring idles at 18 runs at 30-40

    what do yall think..

also oil might smell like gas..

Usually you want at least 10 psi for every 1000 RPM. 18 psi at idle and 30-40 otherwise sounds fine to me. Sixty at idle seems way too high, except when cold.

Try smelling the dipstick for gas. Gas in the oil will thin it out and lower your oil pressure. Plus it's a sign something is wrong, like a leaking fuel pump or carb dumping gas down into the manifold.

Trimmed a bit off the white spring settled on 30 low 50 high

Ill keep an eye on the oil level..if it goes up I'll replace the fuel pump
