Side Mirrors ('73)

After a forum search, I din't really find a thread that answered my questions about mirrors. I need some help with side mirrors. I'm hoping to find a pair of old original mirrors for my '73. Could someone tell me what I'm looking for? Specifically, what years used the same mirrors. I have seen a mirror from a '76 that I remember looking like the ones we had on our '74 growing up.

 

They are plain black rectangular mirrors, about 6"x8". I don't know of anyone that's making an exact replica today, but there are plenty of aftermarket mirrors available. IIRC the Grote mirror heads are about the same size, but aluminum - you could paint them black and they would be close. The orange Renegade drawing in the forum banner is a good example - keep hitting refresh until it comes up. The yellow '74 Ren driven by the guy in the blue shirt is another example.

Oh - year range. They started sometime in the late 60s. I know that '74 was the last year; in '75, Jeep started using the squarer mirror with the rubber edges.
