Cowl gasket, blinkers and switch questions

Hello, I am working on a recent acquisition ('74 CJ5).

Here is my first question/problem...I replaced the dried out cowl gasket yesterday and the passenger side of kinda wavy on the outside where it meets the windshield frame and does not sit flush. Did I do something wrong? All the screw holes lined up.

Secondly, 2 days ago I noticed the blinkers acting up. The left side just lights up constant with no flashing front and rear. The right side blinks in back like normal but the front right does not light up at all. The running lights works fine and the brake lights work as normal. I cannot check the 4 way flashers because at some point the steering column was replaced and they were never hooked up. Looks to be a GM tilt unit.

Thirdly, I am installing a stand-alone windshield washer system and it uses a momentary switch. The instructions are very vague and I am not sure of how to wire up the switch properly. The pump has a positive and negative wire plug and the switch has 2 connections on it. Is it 12V to one side and ground for the other on the switch then hooked to the pump? I will also be using either YJ or TJ squirter's. Which one of those two would work better?

Any ideas I should look at on either issue?? Thanks so much:beer:

Iv got the same problem with my cowl seal im puting in right now. it doesnt sit against the cowl enough so i got some foam strips from the hardware store and put that down. Im not sure what ill do for the wavy face i might try and glue it on or just put some more foam inbetween there to make it all tight. you dont wanna leve a gap in there for water and crud to sit. thats how mine rotted out before im sure.

As for the lights a bad bulb will do that but since both sides are weird im sure its a ground problem. Look for your ground wires and where they atatch to the frame or body. if you cant find any you may need to run new wires to ground the housings to the frame

The ground wire on the pump gets grounded. The power comes from fused power supply through switch to the pump. That way, when you trip the swtch it will feed power to the pump. Pump is always grounded.
Not a good drawing but you should get the idea.
