I picked up four of these, they fit nicely on my 61 CJ. Can you help me identify what year they are really from?

Look kinda like Ford wheels, except the center hole on the Ford wheels is typically smaller..
Do those fit over your front hubs?

Yes, the front hubs fit thru the holes. I agree, as I look closer it does look like the center hole may have been cut larger. It is equal on all wheels.
    Any problem running these wheels?

Shouldn't be. I know Boyink is running Stockton's that were machined out.

    Yep. That's what I'd guess.

No problem running them as long as the web from the center hole to the lug holes doesn't break. That's their only weakness compared to Jeep wheels, AFAIK. Jeep wheels have a lip around the middle hole that reinforces the web.

Those are not Ford wheels with the centers cut out.
In the late '60's, both styles came on Jeeps. With or without the rings. Depends on what they had when they were assembling the vehicles.

Mmm. I don't think so. It's been a long time, but back in the day, the Ford centers were often used to make wide wheels for sand tires, and the center hole was cut out. This was the cheap option to something like the K-H wheels. I've never seen a Jeep factory wheel that did not have the lip around the center hole. That lip is needed for for strength in the lug hole. You should also be able to tell by the finish on the center hole - a factory wheel has a stamped edge, and is painted over. A cut-out wheel will have a rougher finish. Plus this is a 6" bead-to-bead wheel. I don't think Jeep used a 6" steel wheel on a CJ ... they are all 5.5" IIRC.

Like I said, it's been a long time, and the '60s were before my time. But in the '70s, I saw a lot of '60s and '70s Jeeps and I saw a lot of parts. And back then, I was told that the wheels with the Ford centers are inferior, for the reason stated - I'm not just pulling this out of a hat.

The raised areas in between the lugs is also a giveaway that these are not Jeep rims. Don't discard the possibility that they could be from a Scout, or even a Dodge product, especially since the centers have been cut out.

I distinctly remember the Commando with wheels like that.
I changed them enough times to know whether or not they came with the vehicle.
They are not Ford wheels with the centers cut out.

Well the opinions seem to favor a Ford wheel with the centers cut larger. Can anyone tell me if these wheels will provide enough room for disc brakes?
    Thanks

You may have to just try it, unless you can find someone with the exact same wheels running discs...
FWIW, the 15X8 KH Jeep wheels won't clear discs, but that doesn't mean others won't.
