Clutch fan!!

I discoverd something nice today.

1969 Dauntless 225 with stock rad.

Everything in stock location.
I really wanted a clutch fan but didnt think it would fit.
Without cutting up the rad. air box to make room.

I have had the grill out for my timing cover replacement.
And just for giggles tried a clutch fan I had on it.
1986 Astro van 4.3..
And it fits!!

it was only close by the drain petcock.
I was able to trim a even .5 inch off the tip of the blades to clear this more comfortably and there is an inch by eye from the cores..

I used a caliper to measure the trimed part of the blade and looks to be very little differance in wieght for balance ,most of the mass is in the clutch anyway, dont see any room for concern there, so its going to work...
