Soft Top Question...

So, before I started rewiring, I removed the soft top...and now I am not sure how it goes back on, well, I have an idea, but when I got it, it seemed loose in the back, like the PO did not quite have it on tight enough. I am highly doubtful if this is the original top, as I have a place in the back for the "bow" that the original would have sat on, but the slots behind the seats have been removed so the roll bar would fit. This top is kind of visible in my gallery, it has a single bow that goes over the seats, attached to this is a bow that goes from an angle to hold up the back of the cover. There are two straps that I am assuming fit into the footman's slots on the back of the jeep, but there is no other connection on these straps, just the clips on one end, so it looks like they get tied somewhere. I am not sure what else to say about it, I can try and get some better pics if you need them. TIA for all your help once again!

 

Looks like a best top in your pic. and yes it's way to loose. bow in the back looks like it's attached two high up maybe in the front?

 

cool, thanks windyhill, I will give that a shot. Are these straps just supposed to tie then in order to attach them up further? The only attachement they have is to strap them to the tub.
