    Hi all,
just got th CJ-5.0 back from a test run around town.:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:(all around)
Runs strong with only a slight hesitation at about 2200 rpm, which I should be able to work out with some fine tuning. Will be adding the 110 anp 1-wire alternator when it comes in thursday or so , and have it registered next week sometime.

One thing I have a question about is the seat mounting positions. I just bolted in new racing style seats, had to fab mounts for them, and it seems the drivers seat is mounted more closely to the outside edge of the body (it does center the driver behind the wheel though) , while the passenger seat is about 5 inches or so closer to the centerline of the Jeep.
Is this normal? or did I manage to screw up the mounts? I do like it as I sit square behind the wheel.

Will get some pics and video of it up as soon as I get a chance:beer::beer:

My aftermarket seats seem to be mounted symmetrically. At least on my 75, I don't see any reason to mount them with different offsets.

I'd have to look closely, but I recall the placement of the two seats is about the same.

I had to move the driver's seat in about 5 inches to center on the wheel. It was all the way out by the door frame on that side, and made you sitting in an awkward position. I was always missing the gear shift and grabbing the In/Out lever for the 4wd.R)

Well, when I fabbed the mounts all I did was add sections to the existing brackets, as the new seats mounting rails/sliders was 2.5 inches wider than the factory seats, molunted them to the factory holes in the floorboards. It is centered on the wheel, so I guess I wont be worrying about it any.

The driver side sounds right but your passenger seat might be off. My 46 2a seats are about an inch from the outside and my 67 cj mounts them like 5 inches inward leaving very little room for a console. Perhaps you have a passenger seat mount from a different year so it sets in outward more
