I was just wondering. Would it be a waste of money to balance my engine? It was already rebuilt, but besides the 231 OF:v6: shortblock everything being bolted on is coming off my 225:v6:. I was just thinking balancing might be a good thing. I alredy know about the diffrence between external and internal balance, this would just be done to help the longevity and free up a little performance. What are the general thoughts? Has anyone else done it on thier OF:v6:?

don't do it ,waste of $ ....it's an odd fire. unless you plan on running your dauntless at 4000+ . if you are going for rock crawling rpm is like about 600 to 800rpm and a good trail might be 1000/1200.you would not notice it there . the highway/ dunes would be where it would tach anything . my 4:88's gets me about 3400 on the hiway and it runs fine/smooth ,,, I don't think I would notice it if it was balanced.I did hit 4500+ at thedunes of Glamis with a 4bl bolted on but I was so scared that I did not notice if my little motor was unbalanced.I felt I was for running it that hard !!!!!

Your engine will last longer if you have it balanced. Probably wont have any increase in performance.
