I finally got all myt parts for my front disc brake conversion. Very easy deal with a good donor Jeep. Now I would like to find some info about doing the rear. I have a flanged Dana 44 out of a Jeepster. Not sure of the year but it shouldn't matter much. I have found dozens of tech articles on doing a front axel but nothing on the rear. There had to have been a Ford product with rear disc that I could get rotors from, but what about caliper brackets for the Dana. Any info on this would be great.

You can tinker around and get the 6 bolt caliper brackets from a CJ (Or the 8 bolt brackets from a scout) to work. Not a perfect set-up, but cheap.

I think the ummmm metric chevy calipers a tad easier to work with. Although the ones I did used front jeep calipers only because I already had them. Mounts for the chevy calipers are much easier to come by. For rotors, front suzuki 4 door as I recall.... pics here; http://gallery.reprobation.net/v/ccarey/jeepshots/brake.JPG.html on the right side there is a "next" . There is also a thread on a board I frequent. Couple of them actually. One is for the ford 9" but very similar. Will see if I can find them and post the links.

Hey, thats good stuff. Thanks. The last rear disc set up I did was on a 63 Nova and I used all Wilwood stuff. A little pricey for the Jeep and I still had to do a bunch of fabing. I like the idea of using all common parts. Thanks again.
