I'm throwing this in here because it's on my '83 CJ5 but I think it looks Cool! It's a 1979 Orville / Meyers hardtop that I'm putting on my '83 CJ5. The PO lost the windshield to door brackets so I am modifying a set of '73 windshield brackets and adding sheet metal. I know I shouldn't have cut the '73 brackets but I have spent 2 years looking for the '76+ brackets so I finally had to make my own. [IMG]

Here you can see how I had to trim off the lower corners of the '73 windshield brackets so I could screw them on the '83 windshield frame. I will be making a set of plates to cover over the front.

Those are the '84 winshield hinges I cut the factory upper door hinges off from to work with the Orville doors. Interesting thing I found is that Jeep bolted all these items on the tub and then painted them. No paint under the windshield hinges or lower door hinges...no wonder they rust out in these areas!
