I was wondering if anyone has any pic's of how they mounted a power steering pump on an F head?
And what pump they used. I found a ton of info on the gearbox and the V6 but nothing on the 4cyl.
My Fhead has the duel V belt crank pulley and the only posible location i can see is above the generator but looks tight with the oil filt housing there.
    Thanks

Don't believe the F134 was ever equipped with a power steering setup so I think you would be on your own fabricating pump brackets. Also one reason you don't see the conversion is you have a limited amount of horsepower to drive the pump

Im not to concerned with the power issue i had a samurai with added power steering and the cj seems to have twice the power. Fabing the mount isnt a problem just looking to see what others have done (im being lazy).
    Thanks

I used an old GM pump from an 80's car. It's mounted on the driver's side directly above where the stock fuel pump is. Homemade brackets of course. I attached my bracket to the 2 front head bolts. The only time I notice RPM drop with the power steering is if I keep trying to turn the wheel at full lock but I think that's common. I also took my oil filter off years before and I can't picture anymore where exactly it sat. I don't think this would interfere with a filter.

How it looks and how it adjusts is too hard to explain in words and I don't know how to ad pics anymore.
I don't see the line below where I can ad a pic. I could maybe take a few an PM them to you I can't figure it in the thread. I actually didn't notice any power loss.
