I have a 100% original 1961 CJ 5, same P.O. for over 40 years. I have access to a 1987 Olds 2.5 (Jasper rebuild, fuel injected, with about 12,000 miles. Front wheel drive currently.
This would give me all the powere steering/air conditioning/etc.
Could this be a woth while swap?
What else has to be modified?
Current 134 runs but at best needs to be freshened up and probably needs a complete rebuild.
    Thanks
    John

Front wheel drive engines are usually not suitable for Jeep swaps, because of the way the engine block is cast to mate with the transaxle. I don't know much about this car and engine (same as GM/Pontiac 2.5?), but I'd say you need to look for a rear wheel drive donor. "Just because you have the engine does not make it a good swap."
