    Well,
Today was the first day that my Jeep left me stranded at home. In 3.5 years, I guess that's not too bad.
    On to the problem.......

Got in this morning and turned the key. Did not hear the fuel pump kick on then off. Would not start obviously. So, I think it's the fuel pump finally cashing out. So, I pull it out spilling gold on the driveway and in a bucket. Anyway, I take the fuel pump out and take it into the garage. I hooked it up to an 18 volt battery just for giggles and that sucker took off like new. Of course squirting fuel onto the garage floor, fortunately not me. So my next thought is fuel pump relay. It does click when I turn the key on and off, but how does one actually test a relay. Do they do this at O'reilly's???? That place is within biking distance this morning.
I'm at a loss since I thought for sure it was the fuel pump giving out. It has been noisy lately. The Jeep ran and drove me to work yesterday just fine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

to test teh relay, hook your test light up to the power feed right at the pump(and a ground obviously), and turn the ignition on, if it lights up, the relay is good, if not, the relay is not working.

Any autoparts store should have the relay you need.

    Welp,

Apparently it was a bad ground:rofl:

And I think I have found out why I have a noisy fuel pump. The old fuel line from the tank to the pump is getting a little too flexible. I need to replace that when I do the tank.
