I can't believe no one sells these brackets. Anybody have a clue where I can get them new? Or am I stuck making my own or finding used. 1965 CJ5 top mounted wipers need brackets so windshield can lay down on hood. Thanks
If there is a better alternative to the original I'll take that advice.

Last time I researched it, (when I needed them) used was the only option. You might put a WTB in the classified section here..

Try military surplus type suppliers. Walchs Beechwood Canvas etc. M38A1 used them and there was/is anifty kit having the correct welting and brass rivets to attach to bracket. Otherwise junkyard item. AM

IIRC you can use a marine wiper arm or blade. Try Kendor Marine, call and describe what you are looking for.

There is a big Jeep wrecking yard in So Cal called Scotty's. They'll have used ones. If that's a no-go try J&W Jeep Wrecking.
http://www.jwjeep.com/ You can contact them only to do a parts search. You are probably luck you can't find new ones as they'd probably be made in China or the Phillipines and junk anyway.

Beachwoodcanvas.com, part #5E2003-HRkit, $49.50/pair. Includes the canvas straps and rivets.
