72 CJ5 Emblems

I'm trying to figure out what emblems were originally installed and where on the body for a 72 CJ5 with 304. I've looked at lots of pictures and it seems some have the CJ-5 up front on the fender and some put it in the rear above the taillight. What other ones do I need AMC-304 emblem?

Two V8 emblems under the "Jeep" lettering on the cowl. Small square AMC badge on the tailgate or back panel. That is all.

Anybody know what goes on a '73. On our '74 Renegade I remember a CJ-5 badge on the back left side above the tail light and, I think, a colored AMC badge on the right side above the tail light (either that or the colored Jeep logo; but, I think that came later). I would appreciate any help I can get.

When I got my 72 the only emblem left that I can recall was the "AMC" on the right rear

 

AFAIK, the CJ-5 badges did not arrive until '74. No difference due to engine type. When I say badges, I mean the plastic or metal glue-on emblems, not the letters stamped into the body.

The V8 badges were nominally on '72-73 V8s, but they may have appeared in '74 also. The '72-73 inline 6 Jeeps did not get any badges on the side panels.

All these Jeeps got the little square AMC badge on the tailgate or rear panel.

My feeling is that people liked the badges, especially the V8 badges. I'm sure there are Jeeps out there that have these badges that did not have them from the factory. Just FYI.

What do these little badges look like? I don't know that I've seen one before.

Are these the black badges with just the letters "AMC" in shiny letters? If somebody could give me a description so I could find one, I would be very appreciative.
