    OK my eyes are sore from reading searches, I just bought a set of 4.5 x 16 stock rims can I fit a 7.00 x 16 on it? Or a 225/75/16 ?
    Thanks Steve

Can we get some advice on this one. I have the same issue, and have spoken to several tyre shops and had differing opinions on the matter. THANKS

I ended up over at Willy's tech, a lot of discussion on this topic a lot of guys are running the 4.5" rims with several different size tires some much larger than I would have expected. I ended up going with a 215/85/16 pretty tall @ 30.5" and still skinny to retain the stock look. This size is real close to the stock size and thats what I was going for.

16x4.5 with 7.50x16 tires. The tires are 31" true diameter, you really need a little lift, maybe 1" or 2":

I had 700-16 ndts on 4.5s for several years fit fine. Check biulds section for canuckcjs' post on 3A biuld, on the last page he has pics of 750s on stock rims. PM him to be sure.

I'v still got the 7.50x16's that were on my jeep when I bought it, definately no lift needed at all. Maybe its cause the springs are new.
