    This is all good food for thought, Based on your experience and that of other members coming up with a practical means for a manually controlled heated air intake ( that goes through the air filter ) may have to be my next science project soon as I am done with my present one " Understanding the Carter YF, Practical modifications and driving with the Vacuum Gauge " I still have some road testing to do on that project :)

    I'd think the easiest way to solve this would be with an electric heater tape wrapped around the carburetor base. The 258 uses an electric carb heater after 1980, built into the manifold. Something similar could be cobbled up for the F134.
