Has anyone any knowledge of compatibility of the 11" drum backing plates / drums assembly from a 1976 DJ postal jeep to an early offset dana 44 rear axle. I wish to swap my stock 9" drums out and looking for parts to convert the rear with 11" and front dana 25 with disc setup. thank you all for any time and direction you can offer.

Hopefully an expert will confirm, from my research brakes from any D44 and/or D25, D27, D30 are interchangable.

25, 27, 30 yes, not any 44. Many 44's are, many are not. If the DJ has a dana 44 rear, yes they will work. You will need to drill two holes in each backing plate to make them work, but no big deal. Rear flanged axle Scouts, later Wagoneers, etc, will NOT work. XJ/ Wrangler dana 44's will NOT work. Chevrolet and many Ford rear 44's will NOT work. '86 CJ Dana 44' backing plates will NOT work. Do a search as this has been covered many, many times. Nickmil
