55 cj5 generator

I'm back again. The last time it was my 55 starter and you guys sent me to the right guy for the bendix drive that i needed. Now i can see my generator armature moving in and out while its running. Since its still working ok i figure it needs new bearings. Its an autolite generator. Does anyone have the bearing numbers for it? Or do i have to take it apart to see the bearing numbers.

I would change it to an alternator but my snowplow pump clamps on the outside of the generator with a small drive belt to the pulley on the generator. I would rather replace the bearings and brushes at the sametime. Any help???? Thanks, BB

 

It may be cheaper to exchange it for a rebuilt. There may be other issues with it besides bearings. Housings wore out, armature needs turning/replaced, etc..
