Can any one tell me why my jeep is puking coolant out of the little tube when I shut the engine off? The engine temp is normal so its not an overheating problem. I'm also running the recomended pressure cap for this model. The only thing I can think of is its missing the overflow tank or going with a less pressure cap?

Normal. Mine will puke into the overflow tank until the level in the rad is almost 1" below the bottom of the fill neck. Get yourself an overflow tank (almost anything will do) to save the critters if for no other reason.

I believe you are seeing "heat soak". The engine temperature will rise for a while after the engine has been turned off, because the engine is no longer being cooled by the waterpump.

You can get a good overflow tank from Jegs that is bottom fed, so the overflow is also siphoned back into the rad as it cools,,,under 20$
