1957 cj5 info.

    I just got a 57 cj5 and I am wondering if the 3 speed trans would be a direct swap for my 64 3 speed. Both have the f134 engine. I had heard of a small or big hole trans. Is there any way to see before I take the 57 apart. I kinda hate to part it out. It is nearly complete and was running and driving as I was told until a spring broke. But I need a trans. Any help would be great!

    It should fit. The large-hole / small-hole refers to the transfer case, not the tranny.
