1971 CJ5, 225 oddfire, I just pulled the jeep out to get it ready for hunting. It started right up and I shut it down. After about a half an hour I tried to start it back up and the motor just turned over without starting. The battery seemed a little low as I tried several times to start it. After several attempts with the motor turning over after about the fourth try I turned the ignition switch and nothing happened, no motor turning over, no click, no nothing. I let it sit about 15 minutes and the motor started turning over but the battery needed jumped to get it started. I plan on putting a new battery in it but I am concerned about the ignition being sporatic when I plan on taking it hunting. Any suggestions. Thanks

Yeah.. corrosion build up under bat cable connections. May look ok from outside, but due lead oxidation it will insulate itself. Clean, recharge, try again.
