    hello,
    i want to ask whats the length of the threads opened in the block for the head bolts.
    i want to fit some 4-1/2" grade 8 bolts that i found to replace my bad pitted 4-1/4".And ask this because i'm trying not to cut them.
    if someone have one engine dissasembled will help me a lot

    If you need to cut them, spin a nut on first, so when you take it off, it cleans and straightens the threads :)

    yes,i will.i know this trick!!1
    i was think first to cut them on a lathe but this is a overkill as a good friend on this forum sayed.
