Finally getting around to replacing the rear driveline I twisted in to pieces a few months back.

Any quick advice on how to measure it up for the right size?

    Thanks

I was always told center to center. I think that's what most places go on.

Call the drive line shop that is going to build it and ask how thay want it measured.
Each shop has it,s own way thay want is measured.

My brother works at a shop that does this and people come in and thell to add 2" to it because thay put a 2" lift, and then thay find out it is to long.
I take 3 measure, turn the yokes up and measure from where the cups set both top and bottom, then turn yoke side ways and measure the same. then add all together and devide by 3 and you get your running length od the shaft.

That's kinda what i was thinking.

The place isn't that far, i might just tow it over and have the shop measure it.

on the bolt on yoke it will be center to center where the universal caps mount in the yoke.if it is a slip yoke, give yourself 1/2" of pullout. on the bolt on yoke they will put the 1/2" in for you.bob
