I found this Jeep on Craigslist for $2000 and Im not sure if I should just wait a while and look for a jeep in better condition or not. Ive always wanted a flat fender but these things are getting harder and harder to find. well please look at the pictres and let me know what you think. I know the springs arent original nor are the shackles (gross I cant believe someone did that).
    Im open to any suggestions!!

Doesnt look bad to me. I would say $2000 is a decent price if it runs and drives well.

I like it, would be hard to get back to original, but i think it would be fun

I have been looking at that one on CL also. I think $2000 is a touch to much for it. It runs and drives but has been modified a bit. If it was at say $1500 i think it would be a good buy.

    Lose the shackle lift.

I'd probably make an offer... hard to tell from the pictures though. Several patches are evident.

I agree, 2K seems a bit high. But, as always, it's worth what someone is willing to pay.
    How are the floors?

Im not sure about the floors, the owner did say it has rust but the frame is solid. Also he claims that the engine has been rebuilt.

Price would be fair here in MI.

Not sure why the thought is that this would be hard to restore -- I'm not seeing any major body or suspension hacks, no engine swaps, even original seat frames. Can't see what's going on with the dash or interior floors, but I'd say it's a pretty darn good restoration candidate.

Owner says: REBUILT ENGINE & TRANS, NEW GAS TANK, NEW BRAKE LINES,new driver's seat, patched floorboard,12-15 ground hawg tires, lots of rust. It runs.

Looks like an excellent restoration candidate. If it is as solid as it looks, it might just be worth the money. Sometimes it is worth paying a little more for something nice. That engine looks like it may be a WWII engine, or at least the head might be. If you buy it, let me know.

Doesn't look bad to me, but I'd say $2k is a bit too high. I'd say $1400-$1500 range.
