i recently swapped the small hole dana 18 t/c for a large hole version in my '56 cj5 (f134 t90). now the clutch control tube binds when i tighten the mounts/crossmember bolts. it seems that now its too long to fit between the new t/case and frame rail. what did i do wrong?

    refer to the pic attached.
are the innards still inside your tube ?
you can add/remove the round discs/spacers inside to account for excessive play/slop
as well as remove some for more clearance.
you might also be able to redrill the hole for where the cotter pin goes thru.

    :?

    Interesting.
Looking at that diagram, it isn't the same for my T90/D18 set up. the plate closest to the TC isn't there, the ballstud mounts directly into the side of the TC. Or tranny, don't remember. I'll have to go out and look, but that will be in the morning when the temp outside is lower. 103ยบ right now.

Did you by chance shift the Tranny/TC towards the driver's side when you replaced the TC?
Maybe reversed the crossmember or something?
