    Question:
Has anyone done the complete disc brake conversion and the 11 drum swap at the same time thats talked about in the technical library? :?
What were the results with the stock master cylinder? Does it stop any better or do you still have to push real hear to get the braking action needed. I"m in the process of doing this and want to know if its worth the money. Its a 1959 CJ5

I went to 11" in the front first. Worked great, Then went to 11" in the rear, Worked even better. Went to disc in the front cause I like the way they shed water and mud. Worked even better. Then went 4 wheel disc. Will never go back to drums. This was all with the under floor master cylinder. I have not needed an adjustable proportioning valve oddly enough, but many people do. I suggest installing one in the rear line to bias the brakes front to rear properly, especially if using 11" drums in the rear and disc in the front. Make sure you use organic pads as semi-metallic/ceramic require too much pressure as they are meant to be used with a power brake booster. Worth every dime I spent converting, and I think you'll find most people who have done it will agree....
