Hey all, I,m checking a noisey valve train and while adjusting intake valves I found that if I set clearance to .018 on a couple of the valves I can slide a .022 or even a .025 halfway into the valve from the side closest to the rocker tower. I backed one clear off to look at the top of the valve and it doesn't look like it's worn on that side. Can't see the rocker surface without removing it.
Should I be thinking about replacing the rockers or just set the overall clearance and forget it. History is F134 2k on rebuild runs fine no problems just noisey. Hate to run it over 40 for the racket it makes. Thanks for any thoughts

Is there a spec for how much tilt or lean you can have between the rocker and the tube?
