The old running lights were getting in pretty sad shape so I installed some LED lights. These are flush mounted trailer lights and are pretty bright compared to the old ones. I did have to put an electronic flasher in to make them work. The taillights are LED also.

Here's a pic of an old one

Those look nice! I paid $40 for the originals from 4wd and had to switch the wires in the lights because they were wired backwards. Maybe it was the PO. Anyway I should have done something like you did. Pics of the tails would be nice. How much $ do you have in the conversion?

Got the lights for $30+ shipping. Had the flasher. Taillights are HF 10 diode at about the same, put those in several yrs. ago. The flasher is loud! No need for a chime.
The guy has them in 2.5" that might fit in the bucket or could be used on old Jeeps with smaller front lights. Red and amber.

I put led's in my old 56 but could never find a flasher to make them blink!

    Thanks

Those look really slick- where did you get them? I have a set of 4" amber round LEDs I was going to run but they use the rubber gasket mount- I really, really like the chrome surround on those.

The eBay seller's store is Prarie LED Lights. He has some with a lower starting bid than the BIN price listed on the 1st ones you'll see listed. The bezels make them look like they are finished and not just trailer lights.
You'll need to pull the headlight buckets out to remove the running light buckets. I set mine with self tappers. Set one high and centered where you want it and swing the housing til it looks right to you and set another screw. Use the headlight ground.

Thanks for the heads up, CJjunk. Those are exactly what I need for the front of mine. They even match the LED count/pattern of my taillights.
