I have a 3spd is it a T14 or T15? What the significance of the number?

    Would I have a Dana 20 Transfercase?

How can I tell if they are stock? Want some pics?

If it's stock then you would have a T-14 and 20 transfer. The T-15 was used behind V-8's in the CJ. There are numbers on the side of the transmission and with those the trans should be id a ble. With pics we could tell for sure what you have. A pic showing the bolt pattern of the top and I can tell you for sure.
T-14 and T-15 denote the model of transmission. Despite both being used in Jeeps, they are very different transmissions. Nickmil

behind a 232 is almost definitely a t-14 and Dana 20. 75 was the last year for the dana 20. Its also possible that over the years someone did a transmission swap to a stronger unit, but I doubt it.

Dana 20 was used in CJ's from '72 until '79 when they switched to the Dana 300 in 1980. :beer:Nickmil
