I haven't searched yet, but I had a catastrophic radiator failure on my 60 CJ5 f134. The big name 4wd suppliers are all around $399.00 for a new radiator. My local parts store doesn't show my model, but has a listing for a 67 DJ 4cyl radiator for about $170.00...alot better. It looks similiar in the book with the upper outlet offset. Questions are...has anyone tried a DJ radiator in a CJ? Is it close enough to fit? I want to keep it stock..if I can. Any one know of a better (more inexpensive) supplier of direct fit radiators? Any one got one they want to get rid of? Thanks for reading and any info....cwm

You will likely have to do a little searching to find a 'real' radiator shop. Most radiator shops today only sell radiators and radiator replacement, and don't do the traditional soldering repairs that these shops did 50 years ago. If you find a good shop, they can repair your tanks (if needed) and replace the core (tubes and fins) as needed. Don't expect it to be cheap though, unless all that's needed is simple closing of holes or resoldering of brackets.

The alternative is to go to the u-pull-it yard and look for a suitable replacement (I don't know which app will fit though). You might also be able to use an aftermarket aluminum radiator from Summit or such.

Working on that also. I'll be taking it in this week. But last time I brought an old jeep radiator in to the shop they weren't too excited about fixing it...Only shop around, and by the looks of the radiator, I'm not so sure myself they can fix it..

You put that DJ radiator in your 61 Jeep? I know where there is an old postal jeep in a field near the road...today while I'm working I'll try to pop the hood and see what it looks like...thanks

Does the Fiero radiator work with the F134? If you search, you should find some threads about the Fiero radiator. Popular for CJ-5/6 swaps IIRC.

I do not know if this helps, but here it is for what it is worth. I just looked at my 1974 DJ-5 and at my 1970 CJ-5 and the radiators look the same to me. I have not measured them yet. The CJ-5 has a buick V-6 and the DJ-5 has an AMC inline six. Hope this helps, Matt W.

I remember Hawkes62cj5 had a yota rad in his F-head when he got it. I have one for my Chevy v-6. mine was $116 from napa and Jason said it fit his needs perfectly IIRC.
