Carter carb questions

    I found a couple of Carter 2 barrel carbs for a 258. They are only $5 each. Would these be good carbs to rebuild & use. I'm not sure which carb I have now but I'm sure it's stock. Would one of these be better than what I have?

    I just learned that a Carter BBD is what I have now:oops:. So...I'm an idiot. The guy said he'll just give 'em to me for nothin,so I'm going to take 'em & rebuild 'em.
