Any of you with the F-134, can you tell me what reading you get on a vacuum gauge with a warm engine at idle?? :?
Mine runs a steady 6 in unless I plug the line between the aircleaner (oilbath type) and the dipstick tube. Then I get a steady 10.5 inches. Vacuum gauge is hooked up at the T before the pcv where the windshield wipers would hook up. Not sure of the mileage on it, because the speedometer is not original, and that reads 29336. Seems to run fine otherwise. :)
Elevation is right around 1500 above sea level. Temp is 78ยบ F, barometer is at 30.15 and humidity is 14%.:flag::hurrican::coffee:

I almost hate answering. Normal vacuum should be between 16- 20 in hg. Mine runs around 18-20. I tapped mine in at the manifold where the pcv line enters.
10.5 seems bad, 6 is worse. I don't have an air bath and it shouldn't make any diff, nor should much else. ... possible bad gauge or a gauge needle hanging on the glass cover :(

Early CJ's have a mechanical vacuum pump combined with the fuel pump, to supplement the wipers.

If you have that set up, to measure the motor vacuum accurately you would need to tap the intake manifold vacuum directly - isolated from the vaccum pump and wipers etc.

Not a problem on mine. PO put on a non-vacuum-assist fuel pump.:)
