Yes springs have bushings. Did you check to see if they were already installed? Usually they are.... If not you may need to get some. Nickmil

New parts need new bushings. Use the new shock bushings on the shocks.

I'm thinking that your new BDS springs came with new bushings installed. Post up a pic so we can be sure...

In addition, you will need to install new poly bushings in each shackle mount.

You get the old ones out by drilling holes in the rubber around the inner metal sleeve, until you can push the old bushing out. Next you have to remove the outer metal sleeve, which will be rusted/stuck inside the hole. This is very difficult unless you know the hacksaw trick. :D
Read this thread for the trick...

If your kit didn't come with new poly bushings for the shackle mounts, you'll have to get some...
    Here are some greaseable ones:

Summit Racing or Jegs, or Quadratec should have either Energy Suspension or Daystar brand polyurethane bushings for your application.

Ok, so the Shackle bushings go in the top of the shackle where it connects to the shackle mount. and Spring bushings go in the end of the springs and connect to the bottom of the shackle. right?
So if I have to take the shackle off to get the bushings out, why wouldn't I replace the stock shackles. Do aftermarket ones help? just bolt on?

Aftermarket shackles are usually purchased to get some extra lift. You get 1/2" of lift for every extra inch length of shackle.

I'd suggest you just use the originals. Nothing wrong with them if the holes aren't worn oversize.

Not sure what the hardware sizes are - I suspect they are 3/8" but I'm not sure. The nuts are crimp-style self-locking. Nylon insert nuts are fine too. I'd suggest you just match up the old ones.

Pretty sure the bolts are 7/16" grade 8. I'd go with fine thread but for this application it doesn't really matter as long as you use locking nuts and they are long enough so the shackle is riding on the shoulder and not the threads. Length will be determined by what style of shackles you go with. I don't remember what length the stock shackles used off the top of my head....Nickmil
