I am getting a 66 CJ-6 here in the next couple of weeks. It has a full Metal Hardtop. The tub is off the frame so I can start here and finish the resto with the parts I have been collecting for my 5. It has a bit of damamge to the front passenger side of the tub, was wondering if I can cut the front of my 5 tub to fix this or should I just try to repair the damage without patching in parts from the other tub?

I'd use a donor tub if I could find one. Identical in that area.

I will probably just do the "Cut and Paste" thing then with my 5 Tub.

If you have a good CJ-5 tub, you might save it and look around for a rusted out tub. The area around the cowl does not rust out typically.
