Steering stabilizer question

    1964_cj5 I'd rather be Jeepin'

    I was thinking of buying one for my Jeep, but my question is, where does it bolt to? Does it bolt up to existing components, or is there any fab work that has to be done? My Jeep never had one that I can remember, but I think it would be nice to have to reduce the vibrations and whatnot. Pics would be helpful if anyone has one on their rig.

    Here's a pic of one side of the steering stabilizer on my old '71 CJ5 with D30 front axle. You can see the bracket on this side is attached to the axle tube:

    In this pic you can just see the other end of the stabilizer bracket attached to the tie rod.

    Here's a pic of the one I put on my CJ5 prototype. I didn't like the price or design of the bracket kit that was available to me so, I just bought a generic HD stabilizer shock and fab'd the brackets. HTH :)
