Called 4wd Hardware to order a whole new speedo. The Catalog says it would fit a 55-75. However the guy on the phone said it would only fit 72 and up. He said the hole on the dash panel is different. Can anyone point me in the direction to a new speedometer? Would be nice to know how fast I were going when I started driving. Thanks fellas.

You could get a GPS device to monitor speed. I have the little $99 model that Garmin sells for hikers. It works well for a speedo if I really need it. My factory speedo hasn't worked since I got my 71 model almost 2 years ago. I don't worry too much about breaking the speed limit. R) I'll fix it someday, but there's higher priorities for the Jeep first. Good Luck!

GPS won't pass state inspection in places that have them, no odometer. :(

Florida no longer requires state inspection on vehicles-for now. But If I cant find an original speedo, Ill get the later model if itll fit. I just want to know my speed, cause there are some speed zones that are really enforced around here.
