I recent posts I have seen a lot of talk about different carbs. A friend recently bought a '68 CJ5 with Buick V6 fitted with a Rochester 2 jet. Is this a decent off road carb. I know they come with different bolt patterns depending on the application. Anything would be an upgrade over what I have now.
I have 2 rebuildable MC carbs, one is a 2100 and the other is a 2150 with one having the 1.08 and the other the 1.14 venturis. Would I be better off running one of these and what would be the best manifold as I currently have the 1 barrel carb and manifold on my 258 so a manifold is in my future one way or the other. I like the idea of the '83 aluminum with the heater element even though it doesn't get real cold in gets into the high 20s sometimes.

I used the 1.08 with no problems except for bad gas mileage. The 1.14 may be too much carb for a stock engine.

Here's a link to a guy on Ebay selling kits for the 2100. I see he sells the whole deal, and now has an install kit avail, if you have your carb. he also has detailed instructions on his web site..
