V6 Emblems

    How are they attached? I'll be painting soon and would like to remove them. I thought they'd have nuts through the rocker panel, but mine don't.

    That's what I expected. You can see the pressed in JEEP from the inside, but no nuts.

    If not nuts, then it's just a piece of adhesive. Mine pried off gently with a screwdriver. Put a piece of tape on the tip if you are concerned about gouging.

    When you reapply, use 3M auto adhesive, available at Wal Mart for ~$5. Really strong stuff; you only get one chance to get it right, so make sure you've got them where you want them!

    Was adhesive used by the factory? Or was this a bubba-tech application?

    I think they were done both ways. Earlier had pal nuts, later had adheasive.
