im trying to make it a cheap jeep basically. i am seeing wut i can put stock and custom built parts through until they break. to find out wut works and wut doesnt. i stayed w/ the f head bc my buddy is building a crawler w/ a tpi 350. hes invested all this money and in wut he has in the engine and trans i have in the whole jeep. so its an on goin challenge. he does it w/ a fi v8 ill do it in a 55 fhead. after i start seeing major destruction of stock equiptment ill upgrade. plans include duece and a half rockwells, four link, propane inj. possibly, but im not sure yet. im gonna look @ a 79 fj today after work. its already setup 4 a smallblock, so i might save my rockwell connection for that project. hehehehe...

Have you tried flexing the rear yet?

Looks like when the weight comes off the tire your shackles could flop over to the side?

yeah ive flexed out the rear w/ the 3/4 on it. we used a boom pole one a tractor to lift he body and frame. didnt seem to have any problems. but the only way to test it is on the trail. the pic i posted was from the first day we finished it. it has bolts through the frame and spring prevent movement. and a limiter on the 1/4 spring to prevent sideward movement
