    Uh, no answer because the question isn't clear, not by a long shot.

    Give me a clear question and I can try to help. :? Isn't an answer, it's "I'm confused..."

    First, from where? Front of jeep? Firewall forward? Right or left bank? Buick engine? If numbering from the front, One bank will have the first valve an intake valve, the other bank will have an exhaust valve as the first one. Lets ASSUME a Buick 225, Look at the exhaust manifolds. They will line up with the exhaust valves, all six of them. If in doubt, buy a manual that covers the engine you are working on, It will tell you. You will not beleive how handy a manual is. Second, why are you asking? You are aware that this engine will have 6 intake valves? Or at least it came from the factory with six of them. Which one of these six do you want? Again, WHY? In other words what exactly are you asking? Not to be a butt, but what information do you need? How can we help? Do you think you have a burned one? Not likely. Maybe a bent one? Let us know how we can help, Matt W.

    The larger one. The one that connects to the port in the intake manifold. By number 1, do you mean the one closer to the front of the engine?

    it will be the bigger valve if you have the head off. I know this does you no good, but when I rebuilt mine last year I had an old manual that had the info...

    I """think"""
    front ->back
    drivers side
    EIEIIE
    pass would be the same from back to front.

    I was talking about the # 1 cylinder, first cylinder on the left side. which one of the valves is the intake the first one or the second one. I should have been a little more clear, sorry.
