From my 61: 17+ to a stock frame (reupholstered as near to stock). I'm 6'6"; been driving it since I was tall enough to reach the pedals over 40 years ago.

Seats will make a HUGE diff. I am 5'10" and have never had to notch until I went to the PRP seats I am running.

Mine is also 17 + inches. I have aftermarket high back seats. I am 6' 5" and have no notch cut out done either and I fit fairly well. Not like my pick up but I fit. I agree seats do make the difference.
