    It's tangled in a pile of 25's, 27's, 30's, 2pt. 44's, and cent. 44's.....maybe about 25-30 of 'um!!!

And now for the questions, in looking through the catalogs (and the forum) I see that no one has replacment axles. But they can be had thru Dutchman and prob. others! I get conflicting info reguarding seals and bearings, has anyone confirmed the true parts? I assume that all the flanged axles are the same in this area and if one was to order brake parts these too would be the same??

(And I won't tell you what I paid for it ((or traded)) after seeing the one on Ebay go for OVER $600.00!!!!) WOW!!!

    Thanks, Dale

d44 is rare? - am I missing something here? - mine is a rear, off set

got a D30 front offset - minus disk brakes out of a 78 cj7 - it's a spare as the gear match up with the amc 20

honestly, didn't think it was worth .o2

    who needs an axel?

He's reffering to a flanged D44 axle. Only available for a couple of years as an offset.

Eh, my axle must be early 1970's. It's with the spindles.

Spindles? Early 1970s (70-71) would be flanged off-set or could be an early 1970, two piece with a separate hub rather than being flanged. Early '70s are the only years for the off-set flanged rear axle. Everything before that was a 2-piece. After that was centered, see the link I provided above.

I'm assuming that (hub) is what you mean rather than spindle.

To answer the question about bearings and seals, they are the same between the offset flanged and '72-'75 flanged centered CJ axle. Dutchman can make new axles. R&P is taking longer used axles and having them cut down and re-splined for these axles. I think they are getting a $100 each for them. Moser and some of the other axle builders may also make them but I'm not aware of anyone else making replacements. Nickmil

Thanks, Nickmil, I was assuming that was correct but you know what assuming can do!

I don't have a dig.cam. yet so pics. are out. It just looks like a pile of axels, like a pile of firewood! There may be mil. stuff in there too.

And molsenice if you want to see them just drive down Ridge Street and......Oh no you don't, thought you could get it outa me, HUH!
