I am picking up all of the pieces for my 225 :v6: from the machine shop today (pics to come). I found the torque specs for the intake and the rockers using the search function, but none of the rest. Does someone have all the torque specs for the whole motor?

Also I am not finished with the frame restoration. I still have to fix the cracks and finish the paint. Should I leave the motor in pieces untill I am ready with a rolling chasis, or assemble the motor and leave it on the stand?

I know where you can find all the torque specs in one place, buy a factory service manual, please! http://www.thejeep.com/ has them at reasonable prices.

I don't mind helping out with odds-n-ends but if you're totally reassembling the engine, buy a FSM so you don't come here and ask for every torque spec that there is. It's listed in a table in the FSM.

Put the engine together as soon as possible - especially if you had work done to it. You need to verify the work they did in a timely manner. It is also important to keep the engine CLEAN as possible and getting it together is the best way to do that.

I guess you are right, I had the Crank ground .010, new valve guides and seats, Flywheel resurfaced, and the cylinders bored .010 over to fix the rust in the cylinders. I will put it together and store it away till the spring. Should I use the pre-oiler in it every so often to keep all the internals lubed?

Assembly lube and soak the things that are supposed to be. Get an oil pump priming rod and spin it up every month with a drill. You shouldn't get any surface rust on things in ID for the winter, but might want to make sure things are coated good. Get a HEAVEY plastic bag and bag it good and tight on the stand.
