These Warn manual hubs were on a 74 CJ I ended up using for parts. They take a special locking ring in place of the normal nut and bent washer that is usually used to lock the hub bearing retaining nuts in place. One of the locking rings was damaged when a bearing failed.
The locking ring has three grub screws that once threaded in lock against a special washer between the locking ring and the normal internal hub nut. Does anyone know if these special locking rings are still available. Warn tech support doesn't seem to be able to tell me anything about these.

    That would be them.
I used to keep an eye on ebay for some like this but finally gave up. The ones I have are missing some of the rollers inside. I've taken them apart and studied the internals and it looks to me like these will ratchet and allow the wheel to turn faster than the axle and only hold when the axle is driving the wheel. Does this sound right?

Those are Warn loc-o-matic hubs and they have been out of production for quite some time.
I found some parts for mine at a 4X4 salvage yard, good luck.

Might try R&P at 503-557-8911. They have a box of misc. hub parts and have had some Lockomatics in the past. May even have some now. Nickmil

Ah-ha! I wondered why I couldn't get mine to fit with what I had on the Jeep.

Now I know what I need.
