'68 alternator wiring

    On a stock '68 CJ5 alternator (Motorola with external voltage regulator), which post would be considered the "field" post?

    The field post is the only term with the spade lug. all the rest have eyelets to stud conns.

    Mine is a 35 amp, like on the left of your illustration. My reason for asking is that I'm thinking of putting the Motorola alt into my '61 Allis-Chalmers tractor that currently uses an ailing generator.
