Spring plate ?

    will the stock spring plates work with d30 u-bolts or should i get new plates?

    Stock D27/25 are narrower than the D30. Some folks open them up - I got new D30's with dual pins so I could keep the shock in the right place.

    If you have the time and money, I would do what worlock did and order an aftermarket setup with double shock mounts (preferred method). Or, if you are in a pinch and need to get the jeep on the road, you can re-use the stock ones but you will need to do a little filing and will need to bend the u bolts slightly in to get them to work. I used a large C clamp to bend the u bolts in just enough to allow the stock spring plate to slide over.

    ok thnaks guys. Chuck where did you get your plates at with the dual pins? may just order them i have to get new u-bolts anyway.

    They are on the Rocky Mountain Suspension Page - Number 2402 at the bottom of the page (pretty sure that's the one I used, but can not find my sheet).
