Hi , I am a big fan of the little 4 , Ive had many of them over the years . One thing troubles me though the center cam journal sits directly in the block no bushing . When they wear you lose oil presure. And yes I change my oil offen. Also the stock oil filters if they have one at all are by pass filters only. My present M38A1 I have installed a full flow filter buy blocking off the main oil galley at the pump and running it threw a filter, back to the main oil galley. works great. Has anyone machined the block to acept a bushing?

some british cars have no cam bearings also, a friend of mine was going to have a think it was a triumph block machined to accept cam bearings, changed his mind real fast when he got the price quote, dont have any exat numbers but it was in the hundreds of dollars,i dont care too much for this setup myself, but it seems to give no real trouble,or at least that has been my experience
