nother T15 ??

    My CJ6 has a growl in 1st and 2nd gear that goes away in 3rd. Billy and I changed out the oil/water mix that was in it and replaced with Mobile 1 gear oil. Other than a complete rebuild any one got any suggestions to help this go away. Its not horrible like its about to come apart just annoying.

    Front bearing whine! Sounds like a similar problem the t14 has.

    Could also be cluster gear bearings as they are only loaded in 1st, 2nd, and reverse. Might try flushing thoroughly if you haven't already with some atf and put in an oil additive with the gear oil like Lucas. If it doesn't go away it's just gonna get worse. Nickmil

    Oops, just re-read you put in mobil 1. Just run it and when it gets worse yank it for a rebuild. Nickmil

    I think this winter I will replace the clutch and rebuild the trans & transfer case then..........hmmmm a D20 tera low kit at the same time would be nice. Or I could install the tera low in my 3b and put the D18 gears in the D20.
