I know this has been asked before but the answers were vague and I really need specific sources. I am looking for NEW OE steel wheels for my 1974 CJ5. I have tried used ones but I must have some real bad luck. At least I only had to pay return shipping on two. I have looked on the web for Jeep parts but can't seem to find any plain old steel wheel in all the custom wheels. Appreciate the help.

    Dana,

Checked out 4wd.com and item number 975185. Looks like that wheel has six (6) lug nuts. My wheels only have 5 (five). It seems like everyone wants fancy wheels. Doesn't anyone like vanilla any more?

J&W will have 'em. Sometimes they are really expensive, sometimes not. But if you've gotta have the original deal, they will more than likely have what you need.

My axles are stock '73 30/44 combo with 5 lug pattern. You can see the jeep at www.Danasjeeps.com with the wheels on it. Nothing fancy. they come in white and black.

You should be able to get white, black or chrome steel wheels at any tire outlet, just ask for 5 on 5 1/2 lug pattern, and specify the depth. My wheels are 5 on 5 1/2 x 8 inches deep.

I got some OE type wheels from www.stocktonwheels.com
Thay were the 20 or 22 series wheels.. had made with the backset I needed.
Look like OEM steel wheels. I put my KaiserJEEP dog dish hub caps on them.

Thay are not the cheapest wheels. but sure look good.
